Our group of participants is delightfully diverse, each one bringing their unique talents, perspectives, and interests to the table. Meet some of these individuals and their endless creativity below!
Meet Shaina-Lynn!
This is Shaina-Lynn with some of her favourite pieces of art that she's made here at our program! Shaina thinks the most important thing for people to know about her is that she comes here (to the Day Program) to learn and have fun! Her favourite things to do are painting and crafting. She also loves dancing because it helps her exercise at home, and her favourite singers are Selena Gomez and Lady Antebellum. Most importantly, Shaina-Lynn really loves making people happy.
Meet Larry!
This is Larry and some of the very cool crafts he's made at our Day Program! Larry is 38 years old. One of his favourite things to do is to come to Day Program, and when he's here he loves to craft. He also really likes to go for walks and to have supper at Cravings!
Meet Jaime!
This is Jaime with one of his favourite collages! He's thirty-two years old, tacos are his favourite food, and the song he listens to over and over is Happier by Olivia Rodrigo. One of his favourite things to do at the day program is hang out with Natasha, and he seriously loves it when people make him laugh.
Meet Kenny!
This is Kenny showing us his favourite things in the world: planes! He's also very into cars, trucks, and surprises at three o clock. When Kenny isn't wowing us with his collage skills, he's impressing us with his awesome vehicle sounds.
Meet Cindy!
Here is Cindy, her friend Larry, and some of the crafts she's made at Day Program! Cindy has a lot of favourite things to do: she loves making crafts with cats in them, shredding paper, and giving hugs and high fives. But Cindy isn't above tricks— we're as likely to find her hanging out with her friends as we are to find her scaring someone! Since she likes a good scare, it maybe shouldn't be surprising that she is also very into spiders.
Meet Jeannie!
This is Jeannie with some of the beautiful works of art she's created here at our program! The dream catcher she's holding in this picture is special to her because it catches magic dreams. She likes doing art, talking to people, crafting, making her own jewelry, talking to her friends, and making kokum tea. She also loves everybody! She loves her culture, and she always enjoys seeing Healing Hands and her powwow teacher. Two songs we hear a lot when Jeannie's around are Daddy’s Girl and The Old Rugged Cross.
